What is Run 31?

We are challenging you to run 31 miles, the equivalent to 1 mile a day, throughout October. Unlike other events, you get to choose where, when and how you run the distance.

When you sign up, you’ll receive a personalised JustGiving fundraising page where you can log your miles, share progress, earn virtual badges and collect donations from your supporters.

Our thriving Facebook community is open from September through to November. Connect with your fellow runners, share your story, ask questions and celebrate each other’s progress.

Inspired by Run 31 but not taking part?

If you don't fancy running but would still like to show your support to Macmillan, you can donate to one of our Run 31 fundraisers instead. You can see the service amounts and the impact you can have for people living with cancer at the bottom of this page.

If running isn’t your thing, stayed tuned for our next challenge ‘Walk 100km with your dog in November’ that you can sign up to here!

How your fundraising helps

There are currently almost 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but we can't do this without your support.

From the price of a takeaway coffee to your £180 target, every donation makes a difference:
